Ariel Goronja is a passionate and determined multimedia journalist experienced in print/online news, audio storytelling, and broadcast news reporting. She currently holds two Bachelor of Arts degrees in Journalism and the Digital Arts from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee campus and an Associate Degree of Arts and Science from the University of Wisconsin – Marathon County. She has won five Society of Professional Journalists awards, four Milwaukee Press Club awards, and two Midwest Broadcast Journalists Association awards for stories she wrote while enrolled at UWM.

Ariel is a freelance contributor to and a former staff reporter for Media Milwaukee. She is primarily a breaking news and entertainment reporter but has experience in politics, feature writing, opinion and television news reporting. When she isn’t working and writing, you can find her kayaking, reading, playing video games or traveling around Europe. She also has an unhealthy obsession with Game of Thrones, loves animals, and wants to open her own rescue shelter someday.
